My Aged Caremy_aged_care_logo.png

For most people growing older means there are times they find it difficult to manage day to day living activities. They may need help or may be caring for a family member or a friend who needs help but just do not know where to start or what help is available.

My Aged Care was established by the Australian Government to help the community navigate the aged care system and has a free phone and on line service providing reliable information and access to services for the aged throughout Australia. The Government's aged care reforms aim to provide all Australians with better access to consistent quality care and support appropriate to specific needs.

The contact centre and website are part of two initiatives providing identifiable entry points to Australia's aged care system. The service is for older people, their families and carers, those already receiving aged care services or those looking to receive these services.

What it can do for youmy-aged-care.png

It provides one point of entry for Australians to access clear, consistent and reliable aged care information.   You can either call the contact centre free on 1800-200-422 or visit their website on www.myagedcare.gov.au.   Both will provide personalised accurate and consistent information relevant to each person's needs including advice on health and active living as well as assistance in finding local providers for the various services available; in our case it is delivery of meals to your home.

You can telephone their contact centre 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday; 10am to 2pm Saturday; closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Alternatively you can contact Liverpool Meals on Wheels on 9601-3728 to assist you in receiving our meals service.
